A reception was held on Monday, May 3, 2010, in recognition of the Registered Nurses at MCH who have completed the Clinical Ladder Program. The purpose of the Clinical Ladder Program is to promote quality RN recruitment and retention, to support an environment that promotes professional behavior and growth, to promote continued excellence in nursing practices, and to encourage active organizational involvement to improve the quality of patient care. Each nurse must earn a minimum of 15 points which can be earned through participation in community service, process improvement activities, hospital committee membership, and activities which share knowledge such as in-service education, public education or patient education. All activities must be approved, verified, documented and presented in a binder format to the Clinical Ladder Team for evaluation at the end of the fiscal year.
