Emergency Room
Emergency…..a sudden, unforeseen crisis that
requires immediate action.

Mendota Community Hospital’s
Emergency Room is available for the treatment of urgent and medical
emergencies. Mendota Community Hospital’s Emergency Room is staffed
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days/year by board certified
emergency medicine or family practice physicians. Nurses working in this
area are also trained in Emergency Medicine.
ER Services provided can range
from simple x-rays to outright admission into the hospital.
A helipad, located just outside
the ER entrance, allows helicopters from larger trauma centers to land
so they can transport patients back to their medical facility.
This inter-hospital transfer is often done when a patient requires
advanced medical care not available at MCH.
| REMEMBER: A patient’s
chance of survival is greatly improved if emergency care begins
within one hour of an accident (ex: car accident) or onset
of acute illness (ex: heart attack). |
