2 shifts each weekday: |
The volunteer delivers patient and department mail, assists with delivering and returning food trays, delivers flowers, brings fresh water to patient rooms, runs errands for departments and helps out where needed. Meals on Wheels Volunteers |
Monday - Friday. |
Deliver noon hot lunch meals in Mendota for home bound residents; hospital prepares the meals and each driver delivers to 4-5 homes; may drive one day/month or more frequently if interested; takes approximately 30-45 minutes to deliver the meals; no weekends but holidays are included if they fall on a weekday; visiting with shut-ins is encouraged. Gift Shop Volunteers |
3 shifts each weekday 9am-Noon ; Noon-3 PM ; 3-5 PM |
Open up the hospital’s lobby gift shop and serve as a sales clerk. No holidays. Hospital provides your meal during your shift. If interested in volunteering as a gift shop sales clerk please contact Deb Stachlewitz at 815-539-8122. |

Acts as an ambassador, meeting and greeting people coming into the hospital. Assists individuals in reaching their destination within the hospital. Transports patients by wheelchair in and out of the hospital. |
