Mendota Community Hospital is excited to announce the addition of a new outpatient clinic, conducted by Mohsin Khan, M.D., to its schedule of specialty clinics. Dr. Khan is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine Disorders. He is trained in adult neurology as well as both adult and pediatric sleep medicine. Dr. Khan was raised in Mendota and attended Lincoln Elementary, Northbrook Middle School, and Mendota High School. After graduating from medical school he subsequently trained in neurology at the University of Chicago. Dr. Khan completed his residency and fellowship programs at the University of Chicago, Illinois and his internship at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. He practices in Rockford for Rockford Health Physicians and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine with the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine, Rockford. Dr. Khan’s clinical interests are Adult and Pediatric Sleep disorders as well as general adult neurology. His personal interests include complementary medicine and sustainable agriculture.
Adults experiencing Sleep Apnea Syndrome, CPAP failure or resistance, Intractable Restless Leg Syndrome, Insomnia, Headache disorders, Movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease including deep brain stimulation, or Epilepsy, including vagal nerve stimulation for intractable epilepsy are just some of the types of conditions Dr. Khan treats. He also sees pediatric patients with Sleep Disordered Breathing, Circadian Rhythm Disturbances, and Insomnia.
Dr. Khan is looking forward to returning to Mendota to renew old acquaintances within the community and to make new relationships with the patients he sees.
