BICYCLE SAFETY By Tina Fitzgerald BSN RN CDE “Get a bicycle. You will not regret it if you live.” This is a quote from Mark Twain. In this day and age there have been a lot of improvements made on the bicycle that greatly improve the safety aspects of bicycle riding. However there are a number of things you can do to “improve your odds”. Bicycling is not just for kids. I just attended the 40th Anniversary of the St. Charles Bicycle Club, now known as the Fox Valley Bicycle and Ski Club, and adult cycling is still going strong. Bicycling is a fun way to stay fit at any age and the safety rules are the same for everyone. Here is a list of some of the most important ones:

Mendota Community Hospital Board Selects New Name
December 10, 2014
December 10, 2014 Mendota, IL – Last week the Board of Directors for Mendota Community Hospital unanimously agreed that the new name for the hospital should be OSF Saint Paul Medical Center. The name will become effective when Mendota Community Hospital officially joins OSF Healthcare System sometime in the spring of 2015 when a blessing and dedication ceremony will take place.
