Emergency…..a sudden, unforeseen crisis that requires immediate action.
Mendota Community Hospital’s Emergency Department treats about 7000 patients each year. The department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by board-certified emergency medicine physicians. In addition, our nurses and physicians are also trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Trauma Care.
Mendota Community Hospital has been a member of the OSF St. Francis Stroke Network since 1997 and provides early detection and treatment for stroke symptoms.
| REMEMBER: A patient’s chance of survival is greatly improved if emergency care begins within one hour of an accident (ex: car accident) or onset of acute illness (ex: heart attack). |
